THE EUROPEAN DAY OF LANGUAGES

The 26th of September we will be celebrating the European day of Languages at school and we are thinking about doing some activities or playing some games.

The European day of Languages, organised by the Council of Europe, was created following the success of  the 2001 European year of Languages, which promoted cultural diversity and language learning. It has three objectives:

1. Alerting the public to the importance of language.

2. Promoting the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of Europe.

3. Encouraging lifelong language learning in and out of school.

I think the languages are so important for us to communicate with people of your country or abroad and to have a unique culture each one.

To celebrate the day, firstly, we are going to make a video which contains people making a quiz about different languages.

On the other hand, we have thought about playing some games to communicate with people who speak different languages.

Another thing we have done is to make a picture related to languages that was requested in a contest for presenting it if we want. I´m very bad doing this things because it´s very difficult for me to draw in the computer, so it isn´t so beautiful.
